The Spire officially lit up as a Lightsaber for Star Wars

Dublin’s national landmark the Spire was officially lit up like a lightsaber last night in honour of the latest Star Wars installment hitting our screens tomorrow.

The City Council confirmed yesterday that the Spire would be transformed into a lightsaber yesterday, but last night it officially lit up – and it looked incredible.

Dubliners managed to take plenty of pictures of the monument in it’s Star Wars splendour and shared them on social media – proving that The Force was well and truly with Dublin city last night.

Excitement is rife in Ireland and around the world for the much-anticipated release of the latest installment of the sci-fi series, which stars our very own Domhnall Gleeson.
