Shane Filan has revealed that his manager Louis Walsh is his biggest fan.
The former Westlife star, who is about to release his second solo album, admitted Louis rings radio stations asking them to play Shane songs.
“Louis is amazing, he’s just a very good person. He’s one of my biggest fans and he’s my biggest campaigner!” he said.

“He’s constantly ringing radio stations and saying ‘play this song, come on!’ He’s rooting for me.”
Opening up about the Mayo man, Shane revealed they have more “honest relationship” now than they did when he managed Westlife.
“He’s also very honest with me, there’s no messing around. Now we have an even more honest relationship than we did in Westlife, because there’s a lot more to lose,” he told Reveal Magazine.
“When it comes to the music, he wants to have my best interests at heart and he’s very protective of me.Â

“He wants me to succeed more than anyone else, he’s the perfect manager for me,” he added,
After being a member of boyband Westlife for 14 years, the father-of-three admitted he enjoys the challenges of building a solo career.
“It’s quite scary coming out of a hugely successful band and starting to build up a solo career. But I love the challenge of making this a huge success, I want to continue to get better and better,” he shared.
“It’s very satisfying to be able to succeed on your own.”Â
