Makeover: RTE have spent over €400,000

“The construction and set parts were supplied by Irish companies, which mean that money spent by RTE on this new set went back into the Irish economy,” a spokeswoman told the paper.

“Ryan’s original set had been used for close to 200 shows and over 400 hours of live television. After five seasons it had finally reached the end of its useful life and it was time for a new set to be introduced.”
