Ray D'Arcy's production company records a loss of nearly €150,000

Ray D’Arcy production company has reported losses of nearly €150,000 last year, .

The RTE Radio 1 host owns 95 percent of Whatnext Productions Limited, a media firm that was established in 2008.

The broadcasters friend and best man at his 2013 wedding, Darren Smith owns the remaining 5 percent of the business while Ray’s wife Jenny Kelly has been director of the company since December.

Loss: Ray’s company has  reported losses of nearly €150,000 |  VIPIRELAND.COM

Last year, the business recorded accumulated losses of €148,259 and saw it’s cash balance go from €17,146 to €300 in the same time frame.

However, these latest figures do mark a reduction in losses compared to the previous financial year, December 31, 2013, where the figure stood at €182,923.

According to the Herald, the company’s creditors were owed €158,459 last year which was related to taxes comprised of €65,056 in VAT and €88,385 in PAYE.

The recent losses come after the radio star moved from Today FM to RTE Radio 1 in February for a reported salary of €500,000.
