Aidan Turner has admitted he isn’t buying in to his new title of TV’s sexiest hunk.
The Dublin actor has gained a legion of fans thanks to his role as Ross Poldark in new BBC series Poldark, but admitted he doesn’t pay much attention to his new admirers.
Speaking to the Irish Sunday Times, Aidan admitted long-term girlfriend Sarah Greene just thinks it’s funny.
“It’s fine. I don’t think about it. . I’m not going to look like that for ever. Damnit, I’m 31, I’m going to live it up,” he said.

“(Sarah) finds it funny because it’s ridiculous, isn’t it?We don’t take ourselves too seriously.”
Meanwhile the Gaiety graduate said he wants to go in a completely new direction for his next role.
The Dublin actor has caused ‘Turner Fever’ since the release of Poldark, but Aidan said he only got fit because he felt the character would be.
“I just didn’t see Poldark having a beer belly or being out of shape, given his lifestyle,” he explained.
“(for my next role) I want to grow a beard and put on lots of weight.”
