Making A Murderer's Dean Strang speaks out on Ray D'Arcy controversy

Making A Murderer lawyer Dean Strang has said he’s had worse interviews in the US than his awkward interview with Ray D’Arcy.

The US native jetted to Ireland for the chatshow on Saturday night to talk about the hit Netflix series, but viewers claimed it was “embarrassing” to watch as Ray simply recalled what happened in the documentary.

However Dean has said he enjoyed the interview and that he was used to worse.

Criticised: Viewers weren’t happy with the interview

“I enjoyed it well,” he said.

“And his interview was fine — by the standards applicable to US media. I am accustomed to much worse. He and his crew treated me really well,” he told the Irish Sun.

An RTE spokesperson responded to criticisms this week saying Ray was simply helping viewers at home to understand the case.

“Ray was cognisant of the need to help Dean explain the case to those viewers who may not have been aware of the story.”
