Liam Neeson is set to play American war hero General Douglas MacArthur in the new film Operation Chromite.
The Irish actor will work with director John H Lee on the action flick which focuses on eight Korean war heroes.
Operation Chromite was the codename for the Battle of Inchon which began on September 15 1950.
The battle was a surprise attack by UN forces who landed in Seoul, the capital of South Korea to drive out the North Korean People’s Army.
The film is expected to go into production later this year with Liam’s co-stars still yet to be chosen.
Operation Chromite is set to be released next year in time for the anniversary of the Korean war on June 25.
