Jeremy McConnell speaks out on THOSE false Mr Ireland claims

Jeremy McConnell has finally addressed the rumours that he wrongly claimed he was once Mr Ireland before he entered the Celebrity Big Brother house.

Earlier last month, it was claimed by contest organisers that the Irish model was using the Mr Ireland title to gain himself more exposure before appearing on the reality show, and now Jeremy has put those claims to bed.

“I came out of the Big Brother house and saw that I said I was Mr Ireland which is all lies,” he explained.

Lies: Jeremy says the rumours he claimed he was Mr Ireland were all lies | VIPIRELAND.COM

“There was a misquote in the paper years ago before I was even on MTV that said I was a former Mr Ireland. When the rumour was leaked I was going into the house.

“People quote headlines that are online to explain who you are, which is how it spread.

“It was never said on Celebrity Big Brother that I was Mr Ireland nor did I ever say to anyone that I was Mr Ireland. It was a inaccurate report years ago when I won Mr Dublin,” he told RSVP.

Nothing but the truth: Jeremy is adamant that he is not a liar | VIPIRELAND.COM

Confirming the rumours of his false claims were absolutely untrue, the reality star stressed that he was not a “liar” and that the entire situation was blown out of proportion.

“As cringe as it all is, I’m not a liar. I met Big Brother bosses a couple of times before all this nonsense based on my time on MTV and modelling.

“Nowhere was it said on the show that I was Mr Ireland so it has been blown out of the water,” he added.
