Jack Reynor opens up about Han Solo role rumours

With many actors linked to the upcoming Han Solo spin-off, Jack Reynor has opened up about he’s chances of landing the role.

The 24-year-old, who is reported to be shortlisted for the film alongside Dave Franco, Logan Lerman and Miles Teller, admitted it would be “an incredible gig to get”.

“Look, man, that would be kind of an incredible gig to get, wouldn’t it? Totally insane,” he said.

Although the Sing Street star hasn’t met directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller, he revealed he’s a big fan of their work.

“I think they’re the perfect guys to do that movie,” he told MTV News.

Speaking at the Sundance Film Festival, the Wicklow man admitted it would be intimidating to attempt to fill Harrison Ford’s shoes.

“You’ve got to sill some pretty seriously big boots there, man. We’re talking Harrison Ford here, dude,” he explained.

“He’s not a chump, you know what I mean? … You can’t do an imitation, you can’t try and just emulate what that is.

“It’s got to be something new, and it’s also got to be something that the audience is going to respond to,” he added.
