Hozier has sold over 500,000 copies of his debut album in the States.
The Wicklow native debuted on the US charts at No.2 and six months later his album has remained in the top 20 at No. 12.
This makes the Bray star the first act to cross the half-a-million sales threshold since last October when 5 Seconds Of Summer reached the milestone.
The success has continued to come for the shaggy-haired crooner after it was also revealed Take Me To Church is the most-streamed Irish song of all time.
Spotify revealed the top 20 most-streamed tracks by Irish artists and Hozier fought off stiff competition from the likes of U2, Sinead O’Connor, Van Morrison and The Script.
The 25-year-old will finish up his North American tour on Sunday and will Slane Castle in May and will take to the stage at Longitude’s Marlay Park in Dublin on July 17.
Despite all his recent success, the From Eden singer has been in a constant “battle” with his management over his appearance.
