Eoghan McDermott’s new 2fm show has officially gone live.

The series has unexpectedly started without any announcement with it originally slated to begin airing in September.

Eoghan’s first guests included The Coronas frontman Danny O’Reilly and Rubberbandits star Blind Boy.

The Voice of Ireland presenter’s radio show will be broadcast in the evenings every Monday-Friday at 4:30pm.

The 32-year-old has already received support from some of his celeb friends with fellow Voice star Bressie wishing him well.

“Good luck ye big ride @eoghanmcdermo,” he tweeted.

Eoghan’s show has already got a Twitter page, with fans starting to follow @EMcD2FM.

Meanwhile, fellow 2fm host Rick O’Shea also tweeted his congrats to the host.

“A great big break a leg to @eoghanmcdermo – starting his brand new show after us every day.”

The show’s twitter account @emcd2fm has already racked up followers after going live today.
