Dolores O'Riordan set to return to the stage with new band

Dolores O’Riordan is set to return to the stage with her new band after escaping a criminal conviction last month after she faced charges for a series of assaults after an air rage incident.

The former Cranberries star is set to play her first live gig with her new band D.A.R.K. in Limerick on May 13, and then move on to play Whelan’s in Dublin on May 16.

According to MCD Promotions, D.A.R.K. is “an unlikely collaboration” between Dolores, The Smiths Andy O’Rourke and Olé Koretsky, a songwriter, producer and DJ from New York.

Dolores has been working hard to get her life back on track since her recent court appearances, where she pleaded guilty to a number of assault charges and was ordered to pay €6,000 to the poor box at Ennis District Court.

The singer, who according to medical reports was suffering “a hypomanic, sleep deprived, paranoid episode” following her marriage split at the time of the air rage incident – has been spotted jogging in Limerick, preparing for her upcoming shows.
