One Direction fans covered your eyes and ears as Simon Cowell has admitted he is unsure if the band will ever get back together.
The four-piece, who formed on X Factor in 2010, are currently enjoying a hiatus after years of touring with Mullingar man Niall setting up his own golf talent agency.
Music mogul Simon Cowell revealed that the boys needed a break but insisted he’s not certain they’ll ever reform.
”Whenever I was with them, we talked about it, and I couldn’t argue with them,” he said.

“They had achieved so much in a short period of time, and I didn’t want them to get jaded.
“As I’ve gotten older, I’ve learned to trust people more, particularly artists. They’ll decide when they want to come back together,” he explained to Billboard Magazine.
“I don’t know if it’s a hiatus or a break-up, to be honest. In a weird way, I don’t want to know.
“I don’t think they’ve had enough time to experience what it’s like not being in the group to really answer that,” he added.
