Although he’s known for his dramatic roles in Shame and Macbeth, Michael Fassbender has revealed he’d love to appear in a musical.
Wanting to test his singing and dancing chops, the Kerry man admitted he started a rumour that he and his 12 Years a Slave director, Steve McQueen would make a musical together – however it’s something he’s open to.
“That’s a rumour that Steve [McQueen] and I started,” he told Time magazine.

“I would love to do a musical with Steve one day. No specifics yet.”
Meanwhile, the Oscar nominee insisted he doesn’t get tired of talking about his work on promotional tours.
“To be honest, it’s just hard listening to yourself talking, trying not to repeat yourself,” he said.

“But for the most part I don’t mind it at all. It’s interesting to talk to intelligent people, and if it encourages people to see the movie, then all the better.
“I would be lying and I would be very precious if I said that it’s hard work or it’s a drag. I’m in a very privileged position and I’m very aware of that,” he added.
