Irish actor Chris O’Dowd has said he loves filming his Sky One series because he gets to come home.
The Bridesmaids star said he has spent more time in his hometown of Boyle, because Moone Boy is filmed there.
“I actually get back a lot now, because I write and direct Moone Boy, which is filmed in my hometown, and we shoot that most summers.”

“So I actually get to go home more than I have in the last ten years because of that, which has been really lovely,” he said.
Speaking to Esquire magazine, Chris added that he has a great relationship with the locals, including the priests.
But the Tony nominee said he sees himself as an atheist.

“I guess I’m an atheist. But I would say I have very good relationships with the priests that I grew up with.”
“I was an altar boy growing up, and the men of God in my life have always been really lovely, intelligent, kind men,” he said.
