Gary Lineker caused quite a stir on Saturday’s Match of the Day when he stripped down to his boxers after losing a bet when Leicester won the Premiership last year.
And RTE’s Des Cahill is thinking of following in his footsteps, by stripping off for The Sunday Game.
Taking to Twitter, Des posted a picture of Gary in his pants and jokingly asked RTE Group Head of Sport Ryle Nugent, “Should I try the BBC look for @TheSundayGame ? I think it could work quite well. What do you think, @RyleNugentRTE ?”

However, Ryle was not impressed and quickly replied: “@sportsdes @TheSundayGame absolutely, unequivocally, completely and utterly, under no circumstances, definitively not going to happen. Ok?”
Viewers will just have to tune into the show to see if Des goes ahead with his plan.
Meanwhile, a number of people were unhappy with Gary’s underwear choice, complaining that he was too covered up.
But he tweeted: “Had a few complaints saying I should’ve worn pants not boxers. My tweet said undies. Boxers are undies. That was embarrassing enough thanks.”
