Jason Oppenheim has opened up about his relationship with Chrishell Stause.
The Oppenheim Group co-founder and the realtor turned reality star shocked fans when they confirmed their romance in July, and their relationship will be a focal point in the upcoming fifth season of Selling Sunset.
Speaking to US Weekly about how their romance came to be, Jason said: “I think I can speak for both of us in saying that we weren’t thinking about each other romantically [before].”
“Even [after we got together], I don’t think we were … taking it very seriously then either,” the 44-year-old admitted. “So, it was definitely an interesting process.”
Jason said the couple’s Selling Sunset co-stars have been “really supportive” of their relationship, and that no one was “seriously” worried that Chrishell would receive preferential treatment because of her connection to the boss.
He added: “I think we’re pretty open and pretty honest about our relationship and where we are and the things that we’re talking about. When we’re together on camera and off camera, it’s easy for us to just be open and honest, because I think there’s a lot of trust there.”
