Kanye West breaks down as he performs song about his failed marriage to Kim Kardashian

Kanye West received a standing ovation after he broke down at the premiere of his tenth studio album, Donda.

The rapper debuted his new record at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia on Thursday night, and performed some of his new songs.

Despite their ongoing divorce, Kanye’s ex Kim Kardashian showed her support by attending the event with their four children.

At one stage, the 44-year-old performed his song Love Unconditionally, which he reportedly wrote about his failed marriage to the reality star.

Kanye became overcome with emotion during the song, and dropped to his knees as he sang the lyrics: “I’m losing my family / I’m losing my family / I’m losing my family.”

The song also features the voice of his late mother Donda, who can be heard saying: “No matter what you never abandon your family.”

The rapper earned a standing ovation for his performance, as Kim and his four kids watched on.

A source has since told E! News that the 44-year-old informed his ex that the emotional song would feature on his new album.

The insider said: “Kanye did write a song about Kim and their marriage and Kim gave her input about it.”

“He was respectful and gave her the heads up, and did not want to blindside her.”

Kim’s sister Khloe also attended the event, and shared videos and pictures of Kanye performing on her Instagram Story.

Kim filed for divorce from Kanye back in February, after almost seven years of marriage.

The couple share four children together – North, 8, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2.
