Simon Cowell has opened up about Ant McPartlin’s return to television after his drink-driving ban.
Ant took a year off after he pleaded guilty to drink driving and was sentenced to a 20 month driving ban along with a £86,000 fine.
Simon appeared on Lorraine today to talk about the presenter’s return to Britain’s Got Talent and admitted: “It’s like it never happened.”
“I mean, that’s how, that’s when you know it’s comfortable because it’s just like we’re all back together again, we’re friends.”

When asked about the scandal and Ant leaving, he answered: “These things happen. Yeah, I really did miss him.”
He continued: “Then I really felt for Dec last year because we really through him out there.”
Simon also revealed that Ant is doing well: “It’s the happiest I’ve seen him for a long, long time.”
