Cara Delevingne asked Princess Eugenie for permission to wear a her stunning suit to the royal wedding.
The model turned heads at the second royal wedding of the year, as she sported an elegant black suit, top hat and heels for the special occasion.
Although the 26-year-old’s outfit broke royal dress code, Cara made sure to get the bride’s go-ahead before organising her gorgeous ensemble.
“Eugenie has been a friend of mine since I was a kid, and I’ve always wanted to wear tails,” the model told Grazia magazine.
“I texted her, as I wasn’t sure about it, and she was like, ‘Of course, I expected nothing else from you!’”
“I found it interesting how many people came up to me and said, ‘You’re so brave to wear that!’ I was like, really? I feel way more comfortable like this,” Cara added.
It is believed that Queen Elizabeth II doesn’t approve of women in the Royal Family wearing trousers to official events, but as Cara was a guest of the wedding, the protocol did not phase her.
