RTE news presenter Sharon Ni Bheolain showed she’s game for a laugh – as she did the ice bucket challenge.
The 6.01 host agreed to have the ice cold water poured over her after getting more than €3,000 in donations.
Following her soaking she nominated Oliver Callan. It will now be shown as part of the RTE 9 0’Clock News.
Speaking afterwards, Jenny said: “I did feel bad doing it… but for someone just soaked by us, she looked great afterwards.”
Journalist Sharon earlier in the day had promised to do it to raise money to fight Motor Neuron Disease if she got more than €1,000.
She said: “I have to confess I’m not always the biggest fan of nominate or celebrity challenges but I have to make an exception for Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association.

“Having witnessed their brilliant work and unfaltering support for family and care givers personally I will happily take my ice shower in exchange for pledges of at least one thousand euro. So dig deep for IMNDA and I’ll step up to the plate!”
