He’s looking to become an actor in his own right – and now Rex Ryan has released a clip of his latest production.
The son of 2FM legend Gerry Ryan is part of a “comedy dance show”, The Boyz of Harcourt Street.
And the cheeky promo video shows the 23-year-old – and his two co-stars – doing what normal Dublin lads do: drinking, smoking, drinking some more, and going on a road trip.
It’s playing in Smock Alley between July 8 and 12, and should be a hit after his last production The Park
Previously Rex told how he wants to be taken seriously on his own merit – and doesn’t feel his family name will be a hindrance or help to his career.

“I’m not worried that people will know me for the Ryan name and my dad,” he said.
“I think my experiences so far of the work that I’ve done, it hasn’t affected me whatsoever – for my advantage or for my disadvantage.
“So it’s really nice for me. You have to really be your own self and that’s key I suppose in life.”
