EXCLUSIVE! Jack Reynor on his Jungle Book role: 'It's going to be very dark'

Jack Reynor has revealed the new version of the Jungle Book is going to be very different from the original.

The Wicklow actor is in the Warner Brother’s adaptation of the novel by Rudyard Kipling, and while Disney have a remake coming out at the same time, Jack admitted the Warner Brothers’ version will be a darker tale.

“I think it’s going to be very dark and it’s going to have layers and elements that you won’t have seen from the lighter Disney angle and also Andy Serkis is directing it and stars in it as Blue,” he told Goss.ie

The 23-year-old is starring alongside some of the most famous actors in the world in the highly anticipated remake.

“Benedict Cumberbatch is in it, Cate Blanchett and a load of incredible English actors and not to mention Peter Mullin, a Scottish actor, who probably should have been in Macbeth actually, yeah I think it’s going to be good,” he said.

The Transformers star was speaking at the Irish premier of Macbeth in The Lighthouse Cinema where he starred alongside Michael Fassbender and was singing his praises.
