Love Island stars Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen praised for rescuing young girl at festival

The reality stars helped the girl after watching her get "stamped on"

Olivia Buckland has revealed that she and her husband Alex Bowen had to rescue a girl at Wireless Festival on Friday, after watching her get “stamped on”.

The Love Island 2016 stars were at the festival in London’s Finsbury Park when an alleged “riot” kicked off.

Taking to Twitter, Olivia told her followers: “Wireless scared me yesterday. We got into the middle & a riot kicked off in the middle, weren’t really a mosh pit just pure savage a poor girl got dragged under & stamped on.”

“She passed out & Alex & I had to carry her out with her friend. It was bloody awful. Never again.”

Olivia added: “We then re did her make up & had a nice pep talk – so lovely girl – if you see this please message me to let me know how you are because Alex & I couldn’t stop thinking about you!”

Fans were quick to praise Olivia and Alex for helping the girl, and commended them for possibly saving her life.

One festival-goer replied: “Witnessed this first hand! Saw @OliviaDBuck @ab_bowen07 @_JackFowler_ @sidemanallday all help this poor girl, was so mad & scary.”

Olivia responded by tweeting: “It was so scary weren’t it ???? don’t think I’ll be going next year after all that!”

Another fan tweeted: “So dangerous, crowds and alcohol are just a bad bad combination. Thank god you helped her else it could have been a lot worse.”

Olivia and Alex found fame after they starred on ITV2’s Love Island back in 2016.

They became the first Love Island couple to get married last September, and they’re one of the few couples that are still going strong.
