Love Island stars in ‘uproar’ over Christmas reunion pay

The reality stars are reuniting for a Christmas special

This year’s Love Island contestants are reuniting for a Christmas special, but according to  reports, they’re set to earn just £10 per hour.

Nineteen islanders are set to lift the lid on their post-villa lives in The Christmas Reunion, which will be filmed over two days – but they’re set to receive a very small pay pocket.

A source told The Sun, “They have been in uproar over being paid so little for two days’ work.”

“It almost isn’t worth hours of awkward conversation with your ex — which for many of the islanders will be the case now.”

“A few have even discussed dropping out to avoid any unnecessary aggravation. The low fees have also upset their agents, who are used to dealing with much bigger contracts.”

The reunion will definitely be an interesting one, as many couples from this year’s series split not long after leaving the villa – including Georgia Steele and Sam Bird, Laura Anderson and Paul Knopps, Jack Fowler and Laura Crane, and Ellie Brown and Charlie Brake.

However, four couples are still together –  including winners Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham, Megan Barton-Hanson and Wes Nelson, Adam Collard and Zara McDermott, and Kaz Crossley and Josh Denzel.
