Idris Elba has revealed Meghan Markle gave him a setlist before he deejayed at their wedding reception last year.
The actor was personally asked to perform at the couple’s star-studding wedding reception at Frogmore House in Windsor on May 19, 2018.
Speaking about his royal wedding gig on BBC Radio 1Xtra, Idris said before the big day, Meghan sent him “a playlist with some bare tunes on it.”
When asked which songs made the set, he smirked and said, “There was some West Coast on it.”
Remaining coy, the 46-year-old added: “I’m not gonna put their business out like that, that’s not fair… Ask Meghan and Harry.”
Back in February, Idris revealed how he ended up deejaying at their wedding reception on The Ellen Show.
He said: “So Harry and I have hung out a couple of times through his dad’s [Prince Charles] charity – The Prince’s Trust – which helped me out when I was a young actor.”
“Harry came to a couple of parties that I DJed and he was like, ‘What are you doing on [May 19]?'”
“I told him nothing and then he asked if I would DJ at his wedding… I was like is this a joke?” he laughed.
Aside from the British royal family, Idris ended up playing tunes for some major stars on the night, including wedding guests Serena Williams and George Clooney.
