What a legend: Michael Fassbender jumps into a SELFIE with a Kiwi fan he meets on a ferry

Movie star Michael Fassbender proved he is an absolute legend – as he took a selfie with a ferry passenger in New Zealand.

The Kerry sensation is in the country as he plays a lighthouse keeper in new film The Light Between Oceans.

But Michael has been keeping out of the spotlight – until he was spotted on the Wellington to Picton ferry by a fan.

Legend: Fassbender didn’t mind being bothered

And the Oscar nominee – who is now sporting a moustache – was more than happy to pose up with Andree Malpass and have a chat.

She said: “Life is complete, met Michael Fassbender aka Mr Rochester on the Wellington to Picton ferry!” She added that she was “starstruck”.

Previously Goss.ie told how Fassbender landed the role – which is set on an inhabited island off the coast of Western Australia.

He plays a lifehouse keeper, who along with his wife, raise a baby as their own after discovering it washed ashore on a boat.
