Simon Cowell has revealed that Niall Horan is set to announce a solo deal very soon.
Since One Direction went on hiatus, their X Factor mentor Simon has remained supportive of the lads, namely the very “loyal” Niall Horan – and now it looks like the Mullingar native is teaming up with Simon for a solo deal.
“Niall is the most loyal,” he said. “We are expecting to announce something soon with him. I’ve always known he’s loyal,” Simon told People.

The news comes after Liam Payne announced a solo deal with Capitol Records, and it looks like Simon is none too impressed with the 1D star, as he took a pop at him for not staying within the Sony family.
“I think they’re all gonna do great. I worked with these guys for six years, so I always hoped they would all stay within what I call the Sony family, but I think only one won’t,” he said.
Simon also added that he “always knew” the 1D lads would pursue solo projects, but hoped “that everyone would do it with us, but one flew out of the nest.”

Meanwhile, Simon also admitted that the bandmates were “100 percent” overworked since they rose to fame after competing on The X Factor in 2010.
“Even though they were young, that was a grueling schedule, and after a while I could see they were exhausted. Having a year off is going to be a healthy thing,” he said at the time.
