Missy Keating has opened up about her parents’ split from the first time.
The 18-year-old, who is the eldest daughter of Ronan Keating and Yvonne Connolly, described her family as “modern” in her first solo interview.
Missy was just 10 years old when her parents called it quits in 2015, ending their 14-year marriage.
Speaking to the Sunday Independent’s Life magazine about dealing with their breakup, Missy said: “I had some really amazing people in my life, and close family that were able to support and distract Jack, Ali and me.”
“I always felt loved. Acting was also a great outlet for me, and I’m very grateful for that.”
“Over the years, more great people have entered my life, like John [Yvonne’s longterm partner] and Storm [Ronan’s wife], and I now have the most adorable little brother, Cooper.
“We’re a modern family. I’m a modern girl,” she said.
Hoping to make a name for herself in her own right, Missy has won a place in the Gaiety School of Acting, and has just signed to top modelling agency 1st Option.
As well as acting, Missy is also a talented singer.
The teen recently appeared on The Voice UK alongside her best friend, but unfortunately the duo failed to impress the coaches.
