Hozier has admitted that he thinks that the UK’s decision to leave the EU will greatly affect Ireland.
The Bray native is over in the U.S. promoting the Tarzan soundtrack but has spoken out about what he thinks about Brexit.
“It complicates matters greatly in Ireland and greatly for the border up north,” he revealed.

Hozier is not impressed with how the campaign targeted xenophobes, and that it didn’t represent the UK well.
“A lot of the ‘leave’ campaigned was centred around a thinly veiled xenophobia, just ‘control our own borders’,” the 26-year-old admitted to Billboard.
“It’s not a good look, I don’t think it represents Britain, I don’t think it represents the UK all too well.
“It breaks my heart for the generation in Britain who are going to suffer, I just think it’s a massive betrayal of that generation – huge betrayal.”

Though the musician admitted that it’s a terrible situation, he does have a positive outlook on it, somewhat.
“Britain is not gonna sink, you know. Life will go on.
“I just think it was demagoguery – it was smoke, mirrors and demagoguery that got us into this,” he further admitted.
“I don’t know how it happened like it happened. It will be OK, but I would just say anyone who voted to remain, just keep fighting the good fight.
“And punish politicians for it, if you can,” he added.
