Princess Eugenie reportedly had to postpone her wedding because of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
The princess is set to get wed next month, but allegedly already had her sights set on getting married in 2017, before Meghan and Prince Harry stole her limelight.
The 28-year-old’s engagement to Jack Brooksbank was only announced in January, but the couple were already discussing wedding plans in 2016, a source told Vanity Fair.
“It’s my understanding that Eugenie and Jack decided some time ago that they wanted to get married, and there was some talk about a wedding in 2017, but they had to wait for Harry to go first,” the insider stated.
The news comes after it was announced that BBC would not broadcast the royal’s wedding as bosses don’t think that it would attract enough viewers.
The couple are set to wed on 12th October in St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, which is the same place that Meghan and Prince Harry tied the knot in May.
“The feeling among the Yorks is that she deserves her moment in the spotlight and a big Royal wedding with all the frills,” a source stated.
