The Top 10 acts you just HAVE to see at Electric Picnic next weekend

The biggest festival of the year is nearly upon us – Electric Picnic will hit StradBally Estate in Co Lois next weekend, and it’s completely sold out.

If you are lucky enough to have tickets then take some notes. We’ve counted down our top acts for you to enjoy:

1. Outkast

The American Hip-Hop duo are one of the headline acts and are set to put on an amazing show.

In 2007 the duo went on hiatus but reformed this year for their 20th anniversary, and with countless massive hits under their belts such as Ms. Jackson, Roses and our favorite Hey Ya! this is one act you don’t want to miss.

2. Blondie

Another amazing headline act Blondie – fronted by the incredible Debbie Harry.

The american rock band are set to draw in a massive crowd with hits including Heart of Glass and One way or another.

3. Sinead O’Connor

The controversial Dublin singer made a comeback this year with her brand new album I’m not bossy, I’m the boss.

With it’s first single Take me to church getting major airplay along with older hits such as Nothing compares to you no doubt Sinead is a must see act this year.

4. Lily Allen

Lily Allen is back and she’s definitely worth watching next weekend.

The 29 year old songstress took a well deserved musical break back in 2011, but released her comeback album Sheezus this year and has been owning the festival circuit all summer.

This will be her first time back in Ireland since 2011 and we can’t wait.

5. Kelis

One word… Milkshake!

Yes RnB star Kelis will be at Stradbally playing her infamous hit, plus popular tracks like Trick Me and Hate You So Much Right Now.

6. Paolo Nutini

Festival veteran Paolo always gives a good live show. The scottish singer released his new album “Caustic Love” this year .

7.Hozier

This Wicklow singer is on the rise and we’re really looking forward to his set at EP.

The Take Me to Church singer has  had a massive year breaking America, with appearances on The Ellen Show and David Letterman .

His self -titled album is due out next month, so this is a perfect time to see him perform.

8. The 1975

It’s been all go for English Indie-Pop band The 1975.

Since their self-titled debut album was released in 2013, they have enjoyed sold-out tours, and a number one album.

Another great act to see at EP.

9. Pet Shop Boys

It’s such a great line up this year, especially with the oldies but goodies making a return.

Pet Shop Boys are listed as the most successful duo in UK music history. With tracks like West End Girls, they will be a fantastic addition to the festival.

10. Bonnie Tyler

And last but not least Bonnie Tyler.

So many people are already planning to make their way to see Bonnie next weekend.

The power ballad superstar will belt out her infamous hit Holding Out For A Hero. This is one not to be missed.
