Kodaline targeted by 'chancers' who try and sell them non-existent tickets to OWN gig

Kodaline have told how they were offered fake tickets to a non-existent gig the band were supposedly playing.

Guitarist Mark Prendergast said he was stopped by “two chancers” who asked him and frontman Steve Garrigan to buy tickets.

The Dubliner said they were asked for €5 – and told it would gain them access to a Kodaline show, without realising who they were asking.

He said: “Two chancers on the street tried to charge me and Steve €5 into a Kodaline gig yesterday that wasn’t even happening. Seriously?”

It comes as Kodaline have been getting more and more popular, having toured part of America in a bid to expand their fan base.

Previously, Mark told Goss.ie how they wanted to work with One Direction star Niall Horan after a writing session with bandmate Harry Styles.
