Ed Sheeran has insisted he has forgiven Niall Horan – after he had a fling with his girlfriend Ellie Goulding.
The British singer, 23, caused waves with his new song Don’t – all about a cheating ex, and a guy he had previously “never seen as a threat”.
Now Ed has revealed he is friends again with the One Direction star, after they partied together in Vegas recently.
Forgiving: Ed says he is over row with Niall | VIPIRELAND.COM
Asked if he is a forgiving person, he said: “I guess. I got over the anger the moment I wrote the song.
“That’s the end of it. I’m grateful I could get a song out of it, to be honest.
“I don’t feel it’s about anyone any more, I’m not attached to that. The moment you attach someone to a song it becomes more difficult to sing every night.”
Love: And Ed is entirely to thank for it
Meanwhile, Ed has also opened up on Snow Patrol star Johnny McDaid’s engaged to Friends’ Courtney Cox – who he introduced.
But Ed added: “I take no credit. I put them in the same room. I was genuinely surprised when Johnny rang me up and said, ‘I’m in love, I’ve met the woman of my dreams.’
“My first response was to joke, ‘What’s his name?’ I class Johnny as one of my best friends. I’m so happy he’s met someone as amazing as Courteney.”
