Following the release of her last album, 25, in 2015 – the singer completed a world wide tour which finished at London’s Wembley Stadium last summer.

The star made £142 million in total from ticket and merchandise sales.

However, Adele was forced to cancel the last two shows of her four night headliner at Wembley due to vocal issues.

During her tour, the singer told fans that she would be taking a long break from the music industry, but it looks like Adele has changed her tune.

The singer released her first album, 19, in 2008, which was followed by her sophomore record 21 in 2011. She then went on to release 25 in 2015.

An insider close to the star told The Sun, “She’s back in the UK and intends to write here. A number of studio musicians have been approached to work with her and she’s already penned some of the songs.”

The album is reportedly set for release around Christmas time in 2019.
