Nikki Bella has revealed that she rarely shared a bed with John Cena while they were engaged.
The former couple, who shocked fans by breaking up just two weeks before their wedding, spent a lot of time apart after they got engaged.
During the season three premiere of Total Bellas, Nikki and John hosted a family dinner at their new house in San Diego, and the topic of conversation turned to babies and family.
Brie Bella revealed that she’s “nervous” about getting back into the WWE ring after having daughter Birdie Joe Danielson, and then their sister-in-law Lauren said “life has changed so much” since she had a baby with their brother JJ.
Nikki looked downcast during the conversation, and later revealed that the topic made her think about her future with John, who has been vocal about not wanting kids.
“What’s hard at times, what people don’t realize about my relationship is I’m alone a lot,” Nikki said in a camera confessional.
“And I’m alone in these big beautiful homes which you’re like, ‘Gosh, these homes are unreal.’ But to be honest, since we’ve gotten engaged, John and I have probably shared our bed together maybe 30 days total out of like six months. Or 40 days.”
She continued, “So hearing Brie and Lauren and JJ and Bryan all talk about their family stuff and their kids, it makes it like just sink in a little bit more of how lonely it will be and how lonely it gets.”
The clip was released after John revealed that he still wants to marry Nikki during an emotional interview on Today.Â
