WATCH: Everyone is talking about this hilariously bizarre new interview with Jim Carrey

Jim Carrey attended the Harper’s Bazaar Icons party during New York Fashion Week on Friday night, and gave a seriously bizarre interview on the red carpet.

Speaking to E!’s Catt Sadler, Jim said, “There’s no meaning to any of this,” and said that he wanted to “find the most meaningless thing I could come to and join and here I am.”

When Catt told Jim that the evening was all about celebrating icons, he replied, “That is just the absolute lowest aiming, you know, possibility that we can come up with.”

“I don’t believe in personalities. I don’t believe that you exist. … I believe we’re a field of energy dancing for itself and I don’t care.”

“I don’t believe you exist. But there is a wonderful fragrance in the air … It’s not our world. We don’t matter. There’s the good news,” he said to a rather confused looking Catt.

Naturally, Jim’s interview sparked quite the response on Twitter.

See how people are reacting:

The actor’s appearance at the party comes after Jim failed to get a lawsuit over his Irish ex-girlfriend Cathriona White’s death thrown out of court.

The make-up artist, who was originally from Cappawhite in Co. Tipperary, was found dead at her home in Los Angeles in September 2015 – and her family are now suing him for allegedly providing her with illegal drugs.

The 20-day trial is due to begin on April 26, 2018.
