Pete Davidson returned to stand-up on New Year’s Eve, and during his set – he joked about his split from Ariana Grande.

The SNL star performed at a stand-up comedy show in Boston on Monday night, where he poked fun at his failed relationship with Ariana, and the fact that she mentioned him in her hit song ‘Thank U, Next’.

According to E! News, Pete told the crowd, “Here’s the thing about the breakup song. Usually breakup songs you know who it’s about but you don’t really know. That G named all of us.”

“Bam. She named all of us. And then, tells us, yeah, he has a big dick,” referring to Ariana’s cheeky comment about Pete’s “big d**k energy” in her ‘Thank U, Next’ book.

The comedian also addressed the fact that Ariana released the song just moments before he was set to appear on Saturday Night Live.

He explained, “That s**t came out before I had to put on a f**king duck hat and be like, ‘derrrp here’s the pizza!’ So all my friends were there. It was a sad day. We didn’t know it was going to happen.”

“This won’t be easy, this is rough,” he continued. “So I start playing it. And we’re all like, ‘Ehhh… it’s ok.’ We’re like ‘Okay, it’s not that bad for you.”

Pete also told the audience that his mother, who works as a nurse, has been getting some flak over his split from Ariana.

He said: “She was walking in the hallway and some little f**king kid started singing ‘Thank U Next’ to her. Me, I get it, but my mom?”

Pete returned to stand-up two weeks after he sparked concern on Instagram, when he told fans that he didn’t want to be on this earth anymore.
