Gigi Hadid has hit out at paparazzi after she was ‘legally pursued’ over an Instagram post.
The model shared an image of herself on Instagram, which was taken by a member of the paparazzi, and was later instructed to remove the picture as she did not credit the photographer on her social media.
The 23-year-old has since hit out at the paparazzi in a lengthy Instagram post and wrote: “If the person had just commented on my photo I would have been happy to tag and give credit.”
Gigi explained to fans that she found the image on Twitter and did not know exactly which photographer took the picture as there were so many photographers at the event.
The model slammed the paparazzi for “legally stalking” celebrities and claimed that “they drive dangerously close and recklessly.”
“They put the general public in danger in pursuit of a photo (I and many people I know have gotten in car accidents in cabs/car-services because of paparazzi) and it seems that they can never get enough,” Gigi continued.
The model also spoke about the “mental/emotional toll” this has on celebrities and claimed that members of the paparazzi have demanded money from some her fans, after they posted paparazzi images of the star on their fan accounts.
Gigi’s statement has been met with a mix of reactions as some fans agree with the model, while others feel that being photographed is part of her role as a celebrity.
