Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling have adopted an adorable rescue pooch.

Taking to Instagram, the actress revealed they adopted a Doberman puppy named Lucho from the Friends for Life Rescue Network.

Sharing a sweet photo of her cuddling Lucho, Eva wrote: “Meet Lucho. The newest member of our family.”

“We adopted him from this amazing agency called Friends for Life Rescue Network @fflrescuenetwork.”

“If you’re looking for a fluffy family member, adoption is a great option. So many little dudes out there needing a home.

“If you’re not able to have a pet but love animals, you can donate to this nonprofit… Your donation helps keep animals off the streets and out of shelters where they euthanize,” she added.

Friends for Life founder Jacqueline Santiago told PEOPLE that Lucho was born at the rescue organisation after his mother Athena was taken in by them.

She had been listed for free on a mobile marketplace app called Offer Up, and was recused by the organisation just two weeks before she gave birth to Lucho and three other puppies.

Eva and Ryan, who are parents to daughters Amada Lee, 3, and Esmeralda Amada, 4, are huge animal lovers.

The actress previously admitted that their dog Hugo, who sadly passed away in 2014, and their other pooch George, who died in 2016, “prepped” her for motherhood.
