U2 tickets going for €1,000 online BEFORE official sale

Tickets for U2’s highly anticipated Dublin shows aren’t on sale yet, but they have already been listed on an official resale site for up to €1,000.

Seatwave, a Ticketmaster-owned resale site, have tickets available for all four Dublin shows at a range of prices.

The website is an online marketplace for people to buy or sell tickets with the price of tickets being determined by demand.

The hot tickets are listed at a variety of prices from €499 excluding a booking fee of €99.98.

Some of the tickets have been priced at a huge sum of €850 (excl. booking fee).

It’s not known whether these tickets have been placed on sale by people who purchased the tickets through pre-sale or by people who are yet to secure tickets and plan on selling them, and requests have been made for clarification from Ticketmaster.

A spokesperson for Ticketmaster was unable to provide further information, but the popular ticket selling company admitted that customers have been having problems with pre-sale codes.

Paid members to U2.com can buy some of the tickets beforehand, which went on sale today. But many fans reported problems when they went to buy their tickets.

The band are playing four November shows in Dublin and two in Belfast with the tickets going on general sale on Monday.
