Well-known faces stepped out for the Irish premiere screening of Joker on Tuesday night.
Guests were invited to watch the much-anticipated film in the IMAX screen at Cineworld on Dublin’s Parnell Street.
Irish stars including Yvonne Connolly, Baz Ashmawy, Blathnaid Treacy, and Wild Youth’s Calum McAdam and David Whelan were spotted on the red carpet.
The film, which stars Joaquin Phoenix and Robert De Niro, tells the story of failed comedian Arthur Fleck who seeks connection as he walks the streets of Gotham City.
Arthur wears two masks — the one he paints for his day job as a clown, and the guise he projects in a futile attempt to feel like he’s part of the world around him.
Isolated, bullied and disregarded by society, Fleck begins a slow descent into madness as he transforms into the criminal mastermind known as the Joker.
