It was all glitz and glam at Dublin’s Bord Gais Energy Theatre for the opening night of the musical Kinky Boots.

The musical, which features music by Cyndi Lauper, celebrates a joyous story of Brit grit to high-heeled hit, as it takes you from the factory floor of Northampton to the glamorous catwalks of Milan.

Spotted enjoying the energy, joy and laughter of the dazzling show were Julian Benson, Louise Cooney, James Patrice, Courtney Smith, Blathnaid Ni Chofaigh, Sonya Lennon, Alan Hughes and Adrian Kennedy.

Inspired by true events, Kinky Boots takes you from a gentlemen’s shoe factory in Northampton to the glamorous catwalks of Milan.

Charlie Price is struggling to live up to his father’s expectations and continue the family business of Price & Son.

With the factory’s future hanging in the balance, help arrives in the unlikely but spectacular form of Lola, a fabulous performer in need of some sturdy new stilettos.
