Guinness launch new campaign to urge pub goers to put their phones down

Guinness has launched a new campaign to urge pub goers to put their phones down.

Many nights out now surround the idea of taking pictures and videos on your phone, but Guinness is working to stop the anti-social phenomenon.

In a study carried out by the company, 94% of people said that they had a better time on a night out without their phones.

“The findings from this study are scientific evidence that if we put our phones down when we meet with friends and family, we not only enjoy the experience more but also feel closer to them and have a greater sense of belonging,” Trinity College’s Head of Sociology, Richard Layte, said.

Guinness is calling on all pub goers to ‘Switch to Pub Mode’ and enjoy the company of others while on a night out.
