Giovanni Pernice’s girlfriend Molly Brown thinks Amanda Abbington’s allegations against him are ‘bizarre’

Giovanni Pernice’s girlfriend Molly Brown reportedly thinks that the allegations against him are “bizarre” and is “angry” over his feud with Amanda Abbington.

The pro-dancer has come under fire after the Sherlock star claimed she suffered PTSD after her time on the show.

The 51-year-old actress is reportedly seeking legal advice because of Giovanni’s alleged behaviour towards her.

A source told MailOnline: “Gio has been through an horrific few months but Molly has been an absolute rock the whole time.”

“She’s told friends how bizarre she thinks the stuff is that Gio’s been accused of because it doesn’t tally with the person she knows.”

“Like many of his mates, she’s been left quite angry about it and thinks those throwing around claims should either make a complaint or stop causing trouble.”

They said: “Molly and Gio have grown incredibly close very quickly. He’s on the road a lot and she knows all about his previous reputation. But she doesn’t care and is very happy in the relationship.”

“She’s been a huge support to Gio over the last few months and he’s been very open with his friends about how important that has been. He’s not sure he’d coped without having her around.”

Earlier this month it was revealed by The Sun that pop star Faye Tozer also broke down on the set of the spin-off show, It Takes Two, back in 2018 after she admitted that she was struggling with training.

Insiders have claimed Giovanni’s “fiercely competitive” nature left the Steps singer feeling emotional.

A second source said: “They did often clash and she was in tears on It Takes Two. She found how he spoke to her abrasive.”

Giovanni is due to meet with show bosses on Thursday to discuss his future, but it’s understood the dancer is being backed by the BBC – despite claims about his behaviour behind the scenes.
