Michael Fassbender has revealed his dad insisted he walked the Oscars red carpet with him.
Although he missed out on the Academy Award last night to Leonardo DiCaprio, the Kerry man admitted he was sure to make the event a family affair.
“He [Joseph] didn’t give me any choice actually,” he said.

“The whole family is here, my mum, my sister so we [Michael and his dad Joesph] thought we’d walk together today.”
When asked how his mother sent him off for the big film event, Michael jokingly asked his father: “You’ve got the sandwiches, don’t you?”
Before adding to E!: “It’s just really nice to have them here, we had a nice morning – relaxing, having some food and having a few drinks.”
