Viewers have slammed the “awkward” Love Island reunion show.
On Sunday night, the contestants from the 2021 season reunited for an hour and a half long special hosted by Laura Whitmore – who quizzed them on some of the show’s most dramatic moments and on what life has been like outside of the villa.
The Casa Amor contestants, the bombshells and all the show’s original cast mates were there, aside from Jake Cornish – who was unable to attend due to “illness”.
Love Island fans had been looking forward to the reunion since the show’s final on August 23, but were left disappointed by the “awkward” and “anticlimactic” show.
Taking to Twitter to react, Irish presenter Doireann Garrihy wrote: “The energy at this reunion is so dead and awkward.”
Another fan tweeted: “This whole reunion has been awkward. 2nd hand embarrassment watching”, while a third penned: “love island reunion is so awkward i love drama but this is so uncomfortable.”
