This is why Love Island was hit with over a THOUSAND Ofcom complaints over the past few days

Love Island was hit with over a thousand Ofcom complaints ahead of Monday night’s final.

Jess Harding and Sammy Root were crowned the winners of the 2023 summer series earlier this week, nabbing the £50k cash prize.

Whitney Adebayo and Lochan Nowacki came in second place, Ella Thomas and Tyrique Hyde finished third, and Molly Marsh and Zachariah Noble were in fourth place.

Over the past few days, media watchdog Ofcom received 1126 about the dating show.

913 complaints were made at the beginning of last week, and they were “primarily objected to Mitch’s treatment of Abi and concerns for her welfare”.

At the time, one viewer tweeted: “Ofcom complaints need to be loaded for the way Abi is being treated. It’s strange.”

Another wrote: “mitch has no business talking to anybody like that and the fact that he’s been so disgusting towards abi and gets away with it? yeah i don’t think so, ofcom complaints incoming.”

Finally, the fourth place couple Molly and Zachariah received 14.37% of the public vote.
