Samie Elishi has finally broke her silence on rumours she’s rekindled her romance with Tom Clare.
The former couple, who placed third on the 2023 series of Love Island, called it quits just weeks after leaving the South African villa.
Shortly afterwards, Tom jetted off to Ibiza with his Love Island co-star and pal Casey O’Gorman, where some NSFW footage was captured.
However, Samie and Tom recently reunited while on holiday in Marbella – sparking rumours they’d rekindled their romance.
The 22-year-old later embarked on a cruise with her Love Island co-star and pal Claudia Fogarty, and fuelled reunion rumours as she posed for photos with her co-passengers and showed off her phone screen – which revealed she was on FaceTime with Tom.
In a new interview with The UK Sun, Samie said: “I’m happy that we don’t hate each other now.”
“No, we’re not back on, we’re just really good friends.”
When asked if there’s a romantic reunion in their future, Samie said: “I don’t know, once you’ve been there and done it with someone… we had our run and it went well, but I’m happy that we don’t hate each other now.”
“We can all go out still and have fun, we were all out last night and it’s been a lot of fun.”
Speaking about the reason they broke-up, the Love Island star admitted: “It’s so different when you come out of the villa.”
“I feel you don’t know until you’ve done it, it’s just so different when you come out, it’s a different environment.”
“Tom’s so supportive, he such a lovely guy, I haven’t got a bad word to say about him.”
“I think it’s hard having a public life, not just relationships but having a public life can be hard but then it’s also amazing as you get so much support, which I love.”
“Normally you just have support from close friends and family but to have people you’ve never met before support you, is amazing.”
