Rebekah Vardy is allegedly “forcing” Coleen Rooney to go to court, after filing new legal papers.
The pair have been embroiled in a bitter legal battle after Coleen, 34, accused Rebekah, 38, of leaking stories about her and husband Wayne Rooney to the press.
Now, according to reports, Rebekah feels Coleen is “dragging her heels” and wants her to “put up or shut up”.
“Things have been rumbling on for ages, and costs spiralling too,” a source told The UK Sun.
“This will mean that a judge can actually get to the crux of the case — and make those involved put up or shut up. It should mean things can finally get moving and dealt with quickly.
“This is a shot across the bows. It effectively says, ‘Come on, stop mucking about, let’s get on with this’.”
The move comes after insiders revealed that Coleen’s legal team has yet to “build a case” and has asked for more time to bring her defence to court.
After Coleen’s shock accusation against Rebekah went viral, the wife of Jamie Vardy claimed that the stress left her worried that she could lose her unborn baby, as she was suffering from panic attacks.
An in legal documents Rebekah has claimed that she had “deliberately been made a scapegoat” claiming that Coleen’s friends constantly leak stories to the press.
They also state that Sun journalist Dan Wootton had had claimed Coleen “manipulated the media to tell stories about her own life”.
Adding that he had “written many, many stories” about her marriage and “lots of other things around the Rooneys” that had come from her own friends and “with her (Coleen’s) approval”.
